COEUR DE CUISINE™ Escondido Rotary Club Culinary Scholarship guidelines:
A press release will be sent out on November 20, 2009 announcing the first Escondido Rotary Club’s Coeur de Cuisine™ culinary scholarship.

To receive the scholarship, the winner must be enrolled in a culinary school. The check awarded will be sent directly to the school’s registration office.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and reside in San Diego County to apply.
Application forms must be submitted along with a one-page narrative, which will help the scholarship committee reach a decision.
The scholarship must be used within 2 years or it falls back into the Rotary’s scholarship fund.
In order to inform as many scholarship applicants as possible, we will contact The California Restaurant Association, the North County Times, Union Tribunes, the two culinary schools in San Diego, Palomar College, Mira Costa College, Great News cooking classes, and Sur La Table cooking classes.
The Rotary’s scholarship selection committee will read and review applications submitted by all applicants. The scholarship committee will interview the final top 2 applicants, and select a winner no later than February 15, 2010.
The scholarship committee will include a professional chef that attends the Coeur de Cuisine™ event for their final scholarship selection.
The scholarship will be presented at the Coeur de Cuisine™ Event on February 28, 2010.
